right ppl.. since i have nothing to do tonight, be it a good idea or not.. i have decided to share my fighting techiques with the Chunster.
To be honest it took me a month to get my chun the level it is now, if you be realistic, a chun is only good against chuns and wolve, but give it time, you can start to take on the top ryus and other chars as long as you practise enough.. Il try to make this as simple as possible Step 1 . Think like your opponent.. ( being able to anticipate what your opponent is going to do, will help you greatly) Step 2. Do not jump around everywhere ( The chun li who jumps around everywhere is a dead chun li.. your opponent will just wait for you to land and counter attack you. ) Step 3 The most important factor in having a great chun li, is to be able to master the super jump... for me, there are two types of super jumps, the basic one ( down up motion ), and then theres the advanced super jump. (The Advanced Super Jump) This can be quite tricky and does take time to master.. its sort of a (down, forward, up motion) i myself hold down and forward, do a couple of kikokens and then hit up and i usually fly to the other side... the great thing about this is, that it usually shows a 'teleport' on your opponents screen, so you can imagine the possibilities, wen your opp doesnt know what side your on! the key is to be patient.. it does take a while, and you'l eventually get the hang of it im sure. Once you get the hang of it, it will be so beneficial to you in battle, as you can just about dodge anything your opp, throws at you and counter everything he is doing. To be honest the only other chun user who has mastered this technique, and able to fly like i can, is the legend himself, Mr Dark Masta , i salute you sir! (Fighting Strategies) How i go about battles with my chun is as follows, i start off throwing a couple of kikokens, then super jump the side of the side and repeat..if i am close to my opp, i try to include the rapid kick wenever possible, (this is a great side move to stop your opponent doing a super.) Then i wait to see what my opponent is doing, and try to decide wen he is going to do his / her super attack on that side., If so, i do ' The Advanced super jump ' up , over and behind him and then do my super attack on him / her. This will usually show a teleport on thier screen, and you would have just caught your opponent out completely, then basically repeating this process and ensure victory, making sure you are alert, and how much super bar your opponent has left. ( Opponent Strategies) -Chun vs Ryu- Against a elite ryu, this can be pretty damn hard to pull off, but as long as you know the way your opponent fights, you should be able to anticipate when he is going to do his super on you. Against a usually ryu user, its best to follow these tips 1. Start with kikokens, super jumping and further kikokens untill you have a special. 2. If you know your opp is going to do his super on you, super jump behind him and do yours immeadietly. If you leave it too long, the elite ryus users, will already be on the other side preparing another super attack, so stay alert fellow chuns 3. You have to be able to do consecutive super jumps otherwise your opp will just be too quick for you, and you will have no chance.. in order to defeat a skillful ryu, you have to be quick.. very quick. -Chun vs Akuma- This can also be very tricky as if you get caught out by a top akuma user, one of his specials can leave you for dead.. 1. Your opp usually fires endless hadokens towards you untill he builds up that first special.. its important that you can get that first special up and behind him, cancelling out his special as that basically concludes the round, as if you can do that.. you can repeat the process for a easy victory.. 2. The rapid kick is very useful against an akuma user, as his main special is his air special and by simply anticipating wen he is going to do this.. kick him untill he has nothing left. -Chun vs Chun- Nothing to difficult as these battles can go on for So SO sO long if you are up against a top chun user.. 1. You just have to keep up with your opponent , matching her with kikokens and then when the moment is right, getting behind her, and Blasting her away.. 2. DO NOT use the rapid kick against a fellow chun, because if you do this, then your opp will just super you, and you are defenceless to stop this, severly depleting your health bar.. 3. Speed! , you have to be quick in order to come out on top in a chun battle.. you have to be aware when your opp has a special.. always keep an eye on it! A combo of kikokens, super jumps, kikokens, super jump, and then special.. will mess your opp up good.! -Chun vs Bison- This is fairly straight forward, you just have to be aware of bisons teleport and then his blast behind you..if your caught out, thats half of your life gone..i suggest kikokens from a distance , building up your super bar.. wait till you see bison coming over to your side and then energy blast him.. if he gets too close for comfort, then super jump to other side and repeat the process.. simple. -Chun vs Ken- This is very simple, as long as your are always alert, as everyone knows, ken can be oh so damaging if caught with that special.. but as long as you know wen he is going to do it, and are on the other side, youl have no problems watsoever. -Chun vs wolverine- This by far is the easiest opp to defeat as he is so easily as is kept on the ground more or less throughout the battle.. kikokens will stop anything he will try to do, so keep firing them at him, occasionally super jumping to other side and repeating the process.. Chuns Super lightening kick special is as equally effective as the energy blast as wolverine is kept to the ground. (The Tough Guys) -Chun vs cyc|ops- This can be very tough against a cyc|ops user who just loves his optic blast... Speed is of the essence, coz if he catches you with either of his specials, it is very damaging and can affect your rhythm in battle.. 1. It is vital to try to stay close to your opp , at all times and as your kikokens are basically useless against his constant blasts.. 2. Close range combat, lightening kicks are very useful.. and close range kikokens are fine as long as you know what you are doing. The main objective is cancelling out his supers with your kicks, leaving you to pummel him away with energy blasts. -Chun vs Sent- This can be done as long as you are always behind the robot, assaulting him with kicks and kikokens.. 1. You have to be behind him at ALL times, as his rocket punch will just set him up for plasma storm every time..it is very difficult avoiding his sentinel force also.. so you just have to try your best in getting behind him successfully! 2.Your advantage in this battle is the speed of sentinel.. close range kikokens will sort him out, and he can do nothing.. 3. Kikokens, super jump, Energy blast. This series of moves will bring you out of top. -Chun vs spiderman?? - Yes folks.. seems a long, long shot.. but no, its not impossible..it seems the 'newcomers' favourite is the webslinger and that always spells danger for little Chun.. his speed alone is what always determines the outcome.. It is vital that if you have not mastered the advanced super jump, you shouldnt go into battle against any spiderman, as its not about skill.. youl get destroyed! but for you brave fighters out there, who have the super might super jump in hand, you can attempt to take him on. I advice bringing out Shadow lady as her missiles will come in very handy ( Presuming you have aquired the services of Shadow Lady) 1. You have to be so quick in order to keep up with him.. keep firing out endless drills and missiles is the main key. 2. If you have a special and you see that a missile has caught him.. super jump over to the other side, and energy blast.. It is likely that the spidey would have 'spidey kicked' himself over onto your side straight into your energy blast.. Thats my only strategy i have in terms of fighting a spiderman.. as the saying goes.. You win some.. you lose some.. Well that about raps it up folks.. i hope i have helped some of you newcomers who want to learn the way of the Chun, youl be surprised how many times i get, ' Trooper you Laggg' .. Whereas now you will know , that it is the super jump that makes them think it is lag, and that they have been outplayed by a Chun Li! If you are having trouble, pulling the super jump off.. id be happy to show it you, im usually around.. Writen by: DaSuperTrooper |
